• Biopure Corp. (BPUR): shares of Cambridge, MA based biotechnology company gained 9.2% to 95 cents per share. The rise brought K line above D line indicating a rally. However with stock still below 50 day and 200 day moving average and MACD still below 0, we could still see selling pressure when the stock is getting closer to 200 day moving average. [Hold]
• Goldfield Corp. (GV): shares of electrical construction and maintenance services provider surged 11.43% to $1.17 per share. The stock has been on downtrend since mid May when it hit 52 weeks high of $2.84 per share. With stock trading below 50 day and 200 day moving average with MACD below 0, it is still in weak bear market so do wait for uptrend coming back before buying the stock. [Hold]
• MDI Inc. (MDII): shares of security solutions provider rose 8.77% to 62 per share on new product distribution agreement with Northern Video System. Although the stock has been in weak market for the past few months, recent surges shows the stock is back on uptrend on rising MACD and KD. With MACD now barely hit above 0, we probably will see more positive action coming from the stock. [Strong Buy]
• Tag-It Pacific Inc. (TAG): coverage of the cloth zipper maker began last week at 71 cents per share. So far the stock has gained 44% to $1.02 per share and on Friday alone soared 15.91%. The stock is now in a strong bull market with MACd on top of signal and K line on top of D line, both showing buy signal. Although ROC is showing the stock is slightly overbought, it is not yet the time to leave as the stock may continue to go up. [Buy]
