Penny Stock Pick - VRA

The penny stock of the day is Viragen Inc. (VRA), a biotech firm based in Florida. The firm focuses on interesting frontier technologies such as anti-cancer, Multiferon, and Avian Transgenic. Anti-cancer technology is basically the development of series of specialized antibodies that can pinpoint, attack and destroy cancer cells like biological smart bombs. Multiferon is natural human interferon derived from human white blood cells that has been used in treament of two kinds of leukemia - Hairy Cell Leukemia and Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in countries such as Egypt, Hong Kong, Indonesia and South Africa. Avian Transgenic is more like a sci-fi type technology where protein-based drugs, normall placed in expensive vessels during manufacture, can be now placed in something you see everyday - chicken egg. Yet these eggs are from specially developed transgenic chickens.

Technical
If the technology still hasn't gave you enough excitement, look at the stock chart. After hitting rock bottom of 30 cents per share around late November, the stock maybe really to head north with heavy volumn pushing the stock upward about 100% to today's close of 62 cents per share. Although 50 day moving average is still below 200 day moving average recently upward trend has brought the stock price above both moving average. In addition with KD going upwards and MACD rising above 0, we should expect more upside on this stock.

Financial
